HI there just thought I'd introduce myself as a new member, I was pointed in this direction by Tim after going out on Sunday for my first taste of green lanes had a cracking day and good to give the bike a bit of a test. I am looking forward to many more muddy Sundays,

Ryan

Yo Bo diddly, when the s'taff starts using tools on his bike rather than his self , the wisdom to turn the world into a better place will be found here.

Until then ....... most posts will require a higher creative acceptance of loons, looning.

 Tim is an egg?

I will never look at French Toast the same way again.

These revelations should be contained in a biography.

In my opinion trail bikes are similar to women you gotta treat em mean to keep em keen.

Having said that my pre start routine now rivals the space shuttle.

08;00 begin warming engine/gearbox with 3 bar electric rotating fire.

08;30 heat up carb with paint stripping heat gun.

08;45 remove side panel and fill airbox with approx half a can of cold start.

08;50 take out spark plug heat with blowlamp until it glows orange and refit.

09;00 wind tickover screw in as far as she'll go, apply full choke.

09;05 fit ear defenders and push star button. DO NOT TOUCH THROTTLE

09;17 - 09;18 she'll scream into life, panic ye not and as the blue smoke clears drop back to half choke.

09;30 choke off, refit side panel throw yer leg over her and away you go.

she'll do all day on half a tank of Morrisons premium unleaded.

I'll be online for the 20 minutes to answer any queries, trail bike questions only please Peterbc I can help you no more in the ways of womankind. x

Nice routine you've got there, Taffy.

I'm surprised Valentino Rossi didn't insist on you joining his team of mechies for this season. You're a wasted talent........smile

To the new boy - welcome aboard. 2 trail riders from Chudleigh?? You sure you're not Tim's Siamese twin? That boy always looked like he had two heads.

Simeon it's good to to note that you are as up to speed with the space program, cancelled ten years ago, as you are with maintenance of ladies and sheep botherers.

Regarding trail bikes - have you ever blown a gasket or smelt burning rubber on your feeble badly maintained and short stroke CRF?

Superass's starting technique is actually the minimum test procedure for all Honda's. No other bike will take it, proceed with caution.

Hey Ryman. Just saw the thread had a title and a point of newbie introductions.

So are you roman or a catholic?

My life so soon already.

All the best,

Finklestein (nae sure that's a proper noun or verb to be invented) the Welsh.
